Terms of Service

Upon arrival

  • Ensure your pet has not eaten for at least 3 hours prior to any appointment.
  • For your safety, ensure you wear non-slip footwear.
  • Ensure your pet has had the chance to urinate and defecate before swimming.

Defecation in the pool results in a 24 hour closure and carries a closure fee of £50

  • Keep your dog on a lead at all times until a member of staff tells you that it is safe to release your dog
  • Always check with us before bringing your dog into the reception – your dog might be wonderful with other dogs but not all dogs are. Please remember we have injured dogs on the premises that can feel threatened or could be hurt by normal friendly behaviour. 

Health & Safety 

Clients 

  • You may be asked to walk/run/participate in exercises/therapy to motivate your dog and you understand there are trip/slip hazards including other people and dogs present. 
  • You should wear suitable non-slip footwear. You will inform Pawseidon if you are unable/unwilling to participate. You will also inform Pawseidon if I have any disability or medical condition that limits your ability to participate or puts you at greater risk of injury. 
  • You understand that you are responsible for your children’s safety and behaviour whilst on the premises. Your children will remain under close supervision at all times and in all areas of the centre. 
  • You understand that you are responsible for the safety of people/visitors accompanying you whilst at Pawseidon as they may not be familiar with procedures and hazards that you have been made aware of. 

Animals 

You understand whilst every care is taken of the dogs undergoing treatment and in the maintenance of the water and equipment, all dogs receive Pawseidon treatments entirely at their owner’s risk. 

Behavioural Issues

If your dog has any temperament issues with human or other dogs, please bring this to the attention of a member of staff prior to the first session. 

Change of Circumstances 

  • Please inform Pawseidon of any changes to medication, any surgical procedures or changes in veterinary advice affecting your dog. 
  • Any of these changes may affect the type and duration of treatment. 
  • Please inform Pawseidon if your dog is receiving treatment elsewhere. E.g. physiotherapist, chiropractor, massage treatment, etc. 
  • Please inform Pawseidon immediately if your dog contracts any infections or contagious disease (e.g. kennel cough). 
  • Please notify Pawseidon if, during a course of treatment the dog’s injury or condition worsens, or if the veterinary surgeon advises that the treatment is to be stopped or suspended. 

Bitches in season will not be able to attend sessions, until their season has finished

Owners are advised to cancel all appointments with at least 48 hours notice until the condition has cleared for a minimum of one day. Animals should not attend any sessions until the dog is fully recovered. 

Discussion of Risks – Physical exercise together with the pressure of the water on the chest and abdomen can put more stress on your dog’s cardio respiratory functions. If there is an undiagnosed cardiac or respiratory condition your dog could be at risk. Whilst all due care will be taken, if your dog has a diagnosed or undiagnosed spinal condition, there is a possibility their condition could be worsened by hydrotherapy. 

Cleanliness  – If your dog poops please clean up and dispose of the mess. Ask if you need a poop bag or help – we do not mind as accidents can happen.

Late Arrivals Up to 15 minutes late – we will start the swim but your dog(s) will be required to leave the pool area to enable the next clients’ appointments to start punctually. Over 15 minutes late – we may let the next client start their dog(s) swimming and try to fit you in at the end of their appointment. This will not always be possible. 

  • You understand in either case, the full session charge will be applicable.

Missed Appointments

  • You understand the full session charge will be applicable if 48 hours notice has not been given.

Cancellations – Pawseidon require a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellations. At the discretion of Pawseidon, session fees will be charged in full if an appointment is broken or cancelled without 48 hours notice. You may notify us by telephone or e-mail. 

Toileting – Owners are politely asked to ensure that the dog has toileted before treatment. You understand a surcharge may be made for dogs that defecate in the pool because of the necessity for extra cleaning/water treatment & business disruption/closure.

Whilst on the premises and in the surrounding environment, it is the responsibility of the owner to clear up after their dogs. Poop bags are available on request. 

Photography – As with all medical and veterinary establishments, patient confidentiality is important. Therefore, no unauthorised filming or photography is permitted on the premises. 

  • You understand that no unauthorised filming or photography is permitted on the premises. Pawseidon reserves the right to use photographic material taken during sessions. 

General Pawseidon reserves the right to refuse treatment to any dog. 

When not undergoing treatment all dogs must be kept under control and on a lead. 

Pawseidon cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or personal property whilst on the premises. 

Pawseidon will not be held responsible for any personal injury incurred whilst at the hydro-hub.
